Soundcore's new P19,995 speaker turns any streamed song into videoke
The Rave 3S uses AI to pull the singer out of a track playing from your streaming app, so you can sing over it. It comes with two wireless mics.
Soundcore, the audio brand of Anker Innovations, has launched the Rave 3S in the Philippines. It is a party speaker with a feature called AI Vocal Removal, which strips the singer's voice out of a song while it plays from a music streaming app. What is left is the instrumental, so you can sing over it.
The point is that you no longer have to hunt for a karaoke version of a song first. Soundcore is aiming this at people whose whole music library lives on a streaming service, including songs that never got a proper instrumental release. The speaker ships with two wireless microphones and lights that flash in time with the beat, and you can adjust the equalizer, the vocal enhancement, and the reverb.
On paper it is loud. Soundcore rates it at 200 watts through three full range drivers and a dedicated 6.5 inch woofer. It is splash resistant at IPX4, and the company says it runs up to 12 hours on one charge. There are separate inputs for a wired microphone and a guitar, plus an AUX port for older players.
Why it matters
Videoke is not a niche hobby here, and the usual limit is the songbook. A machine carries a fixed list, and anything new or foreign takes a long time to appear, if it ever does. Removing the vocals from a stream as it plays skips the songbook completely, which changes how a household decides what to sing at a birthday or a fiesta.
The catch to watch
It costs P19,995, which is real money for a speaker. Soundcore sells it on its own website and through its official stores on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop.
Vocal removal is also never perfectly clean. The software is guessing which part of the sound is the singer, so a faint ghost of the original voice often stays behind, and songs where the voice sits deep in the mix come out worst. Free apps already do this same trick on a phone or laptop, so what the price actually buys is the convenience of having it built into the speaker. Test a song you know well before deciding it is worth twenty thousand pesos.
